MODULE 4

To create two different stories using cooperative groups and collaborative storytelling students have used "Google Docs" and "Storybird".

Previously we have read the modules of this blog to engage students to be imaginative and creative.

The first tool is useful for them and for teachers. Each cooperative group have created a part of the story. Furthermore they have created the sentences and they have chosen the pictures for each part of the story. Finally they have shared their story with other teachers and other students that have used it for their lessons.

The second tool is creative and imaginative. Students can use really good pictures to write their own stories.  As the fisrt tool, each cooperative group has written a part of the story using a different picture that we have chosen randomly. They have created a beautiful short book. Here you can see it!

To evaluate students, we have used the tool "Rubistar" to create rubrics for storytelling.

MODUL 3

I have created a story using a tool to make presentations and create avatars. Students will know the steps that they have to follow for creating their own stories. It's time for creating the story and students have to take into account some concepts and answer some questions when they make stories:
-Where?
-Who?
-When?
-What?
-How?
-Why?
And students need inspiration. For that, sometimes, we need to look for this inspiration (going outside, going for a walk, reading books or magazines...)

MODULE 2

The Mouse and The Rabbit

 I have created this story using prezi and thinking in my students.
Using this story students will do their first steps as creators of stories. First of all they will learn some characteristics of a simple story for children under their age.
 They will create a story using "The Mouse and The Rabbit" as an example. Students must create characters from animals or inanimated objects as in this story. There must be a problem in the story that the characters have to solve. And at the end there must be the  moral of the story.
Summarizing:
1. Characters.
2. Problem to solve.
3. Moral of the story.

The Happy Prince

Students have read the book "The Happy Prince and The Selfish Giant" by Oscar Wilde in class. Using this story as base, they will create their own stories in cooperative groups (four groups of three of four members). They will use the structure "round paper" to choose the characters, the problem of the story and the final moral of the story.

I have made an infography using this story to summarize it, and now it's a simple story that they can tell to their partners.

Storytelling is the best way to communicate something to our students. When students listen to the stories that we have prepared for them, they are allowed to learn the contents that are in these stories. They can imagine the story and be the main character.

Using the new technologies students have an open mind to listen to stories and to do different activities related to digital resources.

My goal is to create a story or different stories with my students and to realize that there are many tools to create and to share stories. My objectice in this course is teaching and learning English using digital storytelling.
